Weston super windows

To mark the re-opening of Weston town centre on 12th April Weston Artspace are proud to shout about our ‘Weston super windows’ project bringing ‘wow-factor’ art instalations designed by local artists.

December 2020 Weston Artspace put a call out to commission local artists to create art for empty shop windows in Weston-super-Mare. The aim of this project was to bring life and colour to the town centre after a very difficult year. Artspace aims to strengthen and support the local cultural landscape, advocating for artists to get paid for the work they do. Artists work should be recognised and valued. There was an incredible response, over 70 artists submitted their ideas. 7 were selected to create a window art trail.

Thanks to Culture Weston for sponsoring two artists so we can bring even more art to the High Street and pay artists properly for the work they do.
